ARMM-DENR HASTENS LAND SURVEY AND TITLING PROJECT THROUGH ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources - ARMM Secretary Hadji Kahal Q. Kedtag lauded the Sobreviñas Survey and Engineering Services for bringing the modern engineering apparatus called ‘RTK’ in the region on Tuesday, January 23.

The latest land engineering device will be used for land survey in the municipalities of Maguindanao as part of the ‘Free Land Titling and Survey’ project of the department.
The Regional Secretary is hopeful for a quick completion of the program because of RTK.

‘With gadgets like this, we could finish granting the people their land titles in due time’, said the Regional Secretary.
The ‘RTK’ or Real-Time Kinematic apparatus gathers accurate data with less time constraint.

‘Unlike the old-school gadgets, RTK works really fast. In a span of 3 days, depending on the field situation, we could finish surveying a municipality’, said the RTK Operator Rosebill S. Datudacula of the Sobreviñas Survey and Engineering Services.

ARMM-DENR Revisits Bamboo Nursery in Radjah Buayan, Maguindanao

RADJAH BUAYAN, MAGUINDANAO — ARMM-DENR, led by PENR Officer Doming Dagadas, took another visit to the already established bamboo nursery in Radjah Buayan last September 8, 2017.

Together with ARMM-DENR, Kim Bagundang from DENR-Peace Site national office wanted to explore and examine how the nursery has been since its establishment on July 17, 2017.

“So far, so good,” Bagundang said, referring to how the presentation of the nursery turned out.

However, several suggestions have been noted to maximize the nursery’s potential.

Signboards will be put up to label the species of the bamboo varieties. Additionally, these growing bamboo plants will be sorted by their growth rate. To ensure the nursery’s sustainability, a water reservoir will also be built to supply the 120,000 bamboo seedlings planted.

“Everything will be well provided,” PENRO Forester Doming Dagadas assured.

The nursery’s site validation, mapping, staking, leveling, and shading were all conducted and monitored by the PENR Officer during its initial establishment.
