SECRETARY KEDTAG ORDERS URGENCY IN ACCOMPLISHING THE DENR-ARMM’S ACTION PLAN FOR 100 DAYS
DENR-ARMM Secretary Hadji Kahal Q. Kedtag is serious about the implementation of the department’s action plan for 100 days, a marching order of ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv S. Hataman for the continuous reform agenda all throughout the region.
Environment and Natural Resources department of the ARMM after the current administration’s resumption of leadership has set action plans that should be accomplished within one hundred days, which aims at addressing issues and concerns of the constituents in the grassroots level.
“Iba na ang approach natin as ordered by the regional governor, dapat maramdaman ng mga tao sa baba ang serbisyo ng gobyerno, sa kanila manggagaling dapat kung ano ang mga kailangang iprioritize na projects”. Secretary Kedtag said.
Some highlights of the 100 days action plan are conduct of performance audit on the compliance of mining firms on their Environment Protection and Enhancement Plans (EPEPs), Social Development and Management Programs (SDMPs) and other commitments in protecting the environment and the people’s welfare in barangays affected specifically in the province of Tawi-Tawi.
DENR-ARMM REVISITS CSC LAWS AND RULES
COTABATO CITY - top and middle management officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-ARMM led by Secretary Kahal Q. Kedtag are re-oriented on the laws and rules of the Civil Service Commission and on Gender and Development laws and activities on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 9 & 10, 2016.
Secretary Kahal Kedtag said the revisit and review of the CSC laws and rules and GAD rules and activities are included on the department's action plan that should be accomplished within one hundred days.
"Mahalagang ma-revisit at ma refresh tayo sa mga ethics na basehan natin as public servants, kailangan mahalin natin ang ating trabaho tulad ng pagmamahal natin sa ating pamilya". Secretary Kedtag said.
The two-day re-orientation workshop was given by CSC-ARMM led by Director Leopoldo Roberto Valderosa Jr.
Dir. Valderosa on his presentation tagged as "The Now Supervisor" reminded the participants of their accountabilities as public servants and lectured on how to face challenges in an organization as a team.
"No accountability, no commitment". Valderosa said.
DENR-ARMM, an AGAD awardee
ARMM Gender and Development (AGAD) award was awarded to DENR-ARMM on March 31, 2015 by Regional Commission on Bangsamoro Women (RCBW). This award was given to agencies in acknowledgement and recognition of their commendable endeavor in delivering services for the women and children and from being the RCBW’s partner in advocacy of pursuing Gender and Development Programs across the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The continuing practice of DENR-ARMM of incorporating GAD as a means of advocacy in its activities, catches the eyes and attention of RCBW. As a result of this endeavor, the department was awarded and this is also due the continues support of the Hon. Regional Secretary Hadji Kahal Q. Kedtag and the hard work of the department GAD focal person Dir. Norma D. Pasandalan, Al-hadja.
The award inspires the department to give its best to do more in advocating GAD.
